If you are an employer in California you'll be happy to know that TeamLive makes it easy to comply with California's nuanced break laws.
To turn this feature on in TeamLive simply visit Settings>TeamHub>Breaks and toggle the "Apply California break premiums" switch to on.
Once enabled, you will have the option to configure each set of break rules based on your company's specific policy.
- Simply type the number of minutes employees are allotted for each break, select whether it's paid or unpaid, and, the number of hours worked.
- If there is a meal included in the break period click on the "Meal" icon. Once a meal has been included in the break period you will be given an option to include the dollar amount to be deducted (if applicable) and whether you want that done automatically or for your employees to be prompted to confirm this upon clock-in from break. Employers utilizing Harri for meal deductions need will need to confirm that employees are appropriately opted in to the meal program in their Employee Card.
You can add and delete rows for each break that is allowed as necessary. Simply click on the red trash icon to remove excess break periods from your break rules logic, or click the blue "plus" icon to add a break period back in.
