The new internal job posting feature allows managers to create job listings that are visible to current employees. Employers can post jobs internally, externally, or both, and customize the job post based on its type. Additionally, we have added a new Internal Job Portal with a direct link where all internal job posts can be viewed.
Here’s how to use the internal job post service:
From the hiring dashboard, select “Post a Job” from the “I want to…” drop-down menu
Create a job post, either by using a pre-existing template or by entering new information. On the first screen within the job post, you will see the option to post the job internally, externally, or both.
If you choose to post the job both internally and externally, there are other settings you must configure as you create the job post. After completing the first page, select “Next” to view the details of the job post.
If you would like to set different job descriptions for the internal and external posts, you may do so by unselecting the “Use the same job description for the internal post” option, then write a unique job description in the new field.
After completing this section, you will need to complete the “Looking For” breadcrumb before moving on to “Advanced Options.” If you would like to set up different Application Screening Questions for the internal and external posts, you may do so on this page.
The final step in setting up the job post is setting its timeline. On the “Publish” section, you will have a few options for this setting. You can set the jobs to have the same timeline both internally and externally, or publish it internally first then either switch or add it externally on a later date. These options allow current employees to view and apply to the job before others have the opportunity. If you choose to add it externally, the job post will still be visible on the internal portal, which is not the case if the job is switched.
Once completing all the sections, you can select “Publish” to post the job. Both internal and external applicants will be managed on the same Applicant Management System, and internal applicants will be indicated by the source field.
The internal portal has a separate direct link for internal job postings which can be accessed by anyone with the URL. Simply select “Internal Portal” to the right of the “Career Portal” link.
Once selected, you will be brought to a page that contains all internal job posts for each location under the enterprise. From there, the option to apply will be displayed for current employees.
*If you would like to activate Internal Jobs Posting and Portal, please contact your Customer Success Manager or contact Harri Support and ask them to enable this service for you.
